Happy Friday!! It's the second Friday of 2016 and to continue to ring in 2016, here is the second 16 minute workout of 2016 to help you stay committed to your New Year's Resolution! These workouts are easy to perform no matter where you are and can easily fit into any busy schedule. All you need is a little motivation and 16 minutes!

This week's Free Fitness Friday Workout: 16 Minute Arms and Abs Workout

I performed this Arms and Abs workout while on a mini vacation in Longboat Key, Fl - the perfect scenery for an outdoor workout! All you will need is an open space, a jump rope (if you have one), and an exercise mat (if you have one). Perform each exercise as listed in the workout and aim for 3 rounds (which will take you about 16 minutes to complete).

1 Round:

  1. 100 jump rope (or jumping jacks if you don't have a jump rope)
  2. 16 push-ups
  3. 16 accordion crunches
  4. 16 push-up downs (8 each side)
  5. 16 plank jacks
  6. 16 bike & hip raise (8 each side)
  7. 16 dolphin push-ups

That's it! Repeat each round 3 times for with minimal rest, but be sure to maintain proper form during each exercise. Check out this short video to see how to perform each exercise. (Note: Jump Rope exercise is not shown).

Your arms and abs may be burning when you are done, but it will be well worth it! Then you can go on and enjoy the rest of your day!
