It's finally Friday! And once again, I am on the road and will be traveling A LOT this month! If you will be traveling a lot in the next few months and may find it hard to get to a gym or fit in exercise altogether, have no fear! Check out this fun Fast Full-body Workout that you can fit in anytime and anywhere!
This week's Free Fitness Friday: Fast Full-body Dumbbell Workout
This workout is very simple to set up (all you need is a light-to-moderate set of dumbbells) and can be done in anytime frame that you have (anywhere from 15-30 minutes), but should be done at a fast-pace and with minimal rest. You can even fit this workout in at the end of a workout for an extra calorie burn! Complete all exercises in a row for 1 round, rest for 1 minute, then begin with the first exercise for round 2. Complete as many rounds as you can in the time you have! (Try for 3-5 rounds!)
As always, be sure to warm up before beginning the first round and cool down and stretch when you are finished.
Round 1:
- 10 Right leg in front split squat with lateral raise
- 10 Left leg in front split squat with lateral raise
- 10 Man-makers (10 push-ups total)
- 20 Squat thrust with front raise
- 20 Jumping Jacks with shoulder press
- 10 LEFT leg + RIGHT arm opposite toe touch crunch (with 1 dumbbell in right hand)
- 10 RIGHT leg + LEFT arm opposite toe touch crunch (with 1 dumbbell in left hand)
Check out this short video to see how each exercise is performed and to ensure that you have proper form throughout each exercise! (Sorry for the weird angle and for cutting my head out during a few of the exercises, but you'll get the gist of it!)
Whew! That was FAST and FUN! Now you are ready for the end of the work-week and for a great weekend ahead!
I'll be in Asheville, NC for a little over the week and will finally graduate from my Dietetic Internship on Friday the 13th!! Then it's time for some serious hiking and exploring all that Asheville has to offer!
Happy Friday, fit friends!
